JKTF deputation calls on DSEJ, raises several demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 30: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) comprising of District Kathua, District, Udhampur and District Jammu led by its Chairman Ganesh Khajuria met Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ), Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma, Sanjay K Bhat, Personnel Officer in the Directorate Office, Jammu and Mahesh Sharma Chief Accounts Officer/Financial Advisor in his chamber. A threadbare discussion was held between the Chairman Khajuria and all the three officers on the various demands of the teaching community. The deputation sought that the teachers recruited through JKSSRB and promoted as Masters under DPC w.e.f 2005 onwards and are working under State Plan/Non- Plan schemes in Govt High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools should be given monetary benefits as they have been elevated on their Own Pay and Grade (OPG) without any charge allowance as admissible under rules. The Forum demands that all those elevated as I/C lecturers may be given charge allowance till their regularization on substantial posts. It demanded that the left out graduate and the under graduate RET’s who have completed their five years of regular services in the Education Department should be regularized. The Forum also demands the Transition of Gr II and Gr III Teachers at substantive posts at the earliest as their cases are already lying pending in your office despite the approval by the concerned CEO’s. JKTF said that the time bound promotions of Teachers/ Masters who have completed their nine years of regular services in the Education Department of Zone Bani, Bhaddu, Billawar, Ramnagar, Ghordi of District Kathua and District Udhampur is still pending either in CEO office Kathua, Udhampur or in your directorate. The JKTF demands that all these TBP cases be expedite at an earliest so that they can take a sigh of relief. The Forum also demanded immediate transfers of the incumbents working in the hard zone areas and their transfer period be reduced to two years instead of seven years as per the already existing transfer policy. In reply to demand of transfers of Teachers/Masters of Hard Zones, the DSEJ said that the transfers of these areas will surface in a very short time. |
