J&K to see ‘sea change’ in development profile under PM Modi: Col Mahan

BASOHLI, June 30: Jammu and Kashmir is going to witness drastic positive changes in its development profile under the visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s regime.
This was stated by Col Mahan Singh (Retd), DDC Chairman Kathua after kick starting the blacktopping work of 7 Km long Rehan-Chanchloi-Mandla Road. The DDC Chairman was accompanied by BDC Chairperson Sushma Jamwal. Addressing people, he said that the aforesaid project worth Rs. 1.16 crore is being executed by PWD (R&B) Division Basohli and will benefit immensely the people of Basohli Block. “The free flow of funds that has been realized under the efficient and people-centric Modi government in the centre and its extension in J&K with LG Manoj Sinha moving apace to change the outlook of the UT by proper utilization of funds and putting a full stop on any scope of siphoning the money by bungling or other corrupt means has accelerated the development process tremendously and the small projects like the one started today, which are quite significant for the rural population, are becoming possible only because of government’s sincerity”, he said and expressed gratitude to the PM Modi and LG Sinha for ensuring continuation of funds despite urgency on account of COVID mitigation efforts.
Colonel Mahan said that a similar project pertaining to Sandhar, Proongal and Panagar road will be executed soon. He said that currently four roads are under up-gradation by PMGSY Department and 7 new roads under NABARD will be taken up by the PWD soon in the region. Kewal Dudadia, Yuv Karan Singh, Naresh Basotra, Harnam Singh, Advocate Naman Sharma and others were present.
