Early Times Report

Jammu, June 30: Fulfilling a long pending demand of locals and contributing towards “Swach Bharat”, ex MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma along with Corporator Ward 26 Hardeep Singh Mankotia started slab works on deep drains (Nullah) near Kalindi nursing home at Subash Nagar area of Jammu West Assembly segment.
A number of people including JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) officials, BJP Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, local residents and political activists of the area were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that if we want to take our country to that spot where there are nations which are garbage free then we all have to be united and think on one platform and must contribute our efforts in making our aura neat and clean.
Linking the same to environment, Sharma said that many debates take place globally on Climate change and it really is a matter of great concern. He said climate change is real and if we do not start working on it today then after a span of time, our generations will blame us for the deterioration of the environment and we do not want that to happen.
He stated that we all must pledge to keep our surroundings neat and clean and must find some time to contribute in protecting our environment, he added.
Hardeep Mankotia said that six years ago in Ward 26 there were no roads, no planned system of water and electricity and other basic things but with the efforts of former MLA, Sat Sharma the ward has everything now for which thousands of inhabitants in the ward are also thankful to him.
He also highlighted the development works taken up by him as Corporator and said that the momentum will continue to serve the masses in every way possible.
Raveesh said former MLA is still in public and said that Jammu West excelled a lot under his leadership who is still on ground and working for the welfare of inhabitants of Jammu West.
