| Govt. Degree College Bishnah conducts career aptitude test | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jun 30An online career aptitude test was organized by the Career Counselling Cell of Government Degree College, Bishnah under the aegis of Monodarpan initiative and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav of Government of India.
This test was conducted to narrow down the job choices of students and help them to choose an occupation which matches with their interests and personalities.
This online test was organised under the guidance of Dr. Anuradha Pandoh, Principal GDC Bishnah and was conducted by Dr. Asha Singh, Coordinator, Career Counselling Cell of the college.
A sample of 146 students from different semesters of the college was used for RIASEC Scale test. The theoretical framework of RIASEC model consists of six basic personality types, collectively known as RIASEC; R=realistic; I=investigative; A=artistic; S=social; E=enterprising and C= conventional.
Results using RIASEC Scale test depicted a significant impact of RIASEC personality traits in occupational preferences of the students.
Out of 146 sampled respondents, 23% were realists, 14% were investigative personalities, 14% were actual artists, 9% were social personalities, 10% enterprising and lastly 30% of the respondents were of conventional personalities. |
