Jammu, June 30: The winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday sizzled with season's another hottest day at maximum temperature recorded was 42.9 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature however, was 28.3 degree Celsius. Director, IMD, J&K, Sonam Lotus said, "It was another hottest day in Jammu with maximum temperature recorded on Wednesday was 42.9 degree Celsius." He said that Katra town in Reasi district recorded maximum 39.0 degree Celsius and the minimum was 25.7 degrees. Bhaderwah--the tourist destination in Doda district, recorded maximum temperature 35 degrees and the minimum was 18.9 degree Celsius. "Weather will remain dry in coming days as no signs of rains are around as of now," he expressed. Meanwhile, despite COVID restrictions, many hilly destinations are flooded with tourists particularly locals. Although the schools are already functioning online due to the pandemic, but all educational institutions including private and government have shut for 45 days summer vacations from June 15. |
