| Absconding rape accused arrested after 3 years | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, July 4: A hardcore criminal cum absconder namely Shahnawaz S/o Mangatulla R/O Dessa District Doda who was booked in case FIR No. 06/2018 U/Sec. 376/363/343/109/RPC of Police Station Atholi but had been evading his arrest for the last 3 years, has finally been arrested.
Kishtwar Police was looking for the accused for the last 3 years and finally an information was received through reliable sources about him. Acting quickly on the information, a special police team of P/S Atholi under the supervision of SDPO Atholi Pardeep Singh was constituted.
The team constituted for the purpose raided the suspected locations at Jammu and Srinagar and finally arrested the accused person from Doda.
SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Batt appreciated the cops of Kishtwar Police for their alertness. SSP Kishtwar also directed the subordinate formation to make all possible efforts for the apprehension of other absconders who are evading their arrest since long. |
