Lecturers' Forum urges LG for repatriation of J&K employees from Ladakh

JAMMU, July 4: Monthly meeting of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers' Forum was held under the chairmanship of its President, Deepak Sharma through virtual mode wherein the Forum demanded repatriation of all J&K government employees from Ladakh region including those from Education department immediately and also raised other issues concerning Plus Two Cadre threadbare.
Deepak Sharma said that a large number of lecturers and other education department employees from UT of J&K are serving in Ladakh region and have not been transferred back to their respective home districts even after completion of stipulated period of one year in hard areas. He further said that even option was sought from the J&K Government employees to choose between the two UTs of J&K and Ladakh on bifurcation of J&K state but no exercise has been done in this regard to give a sigh of relief to the employees.
Forum further demanded that all lecturers and Principals who have completed tenure of more than one year in Hard areas should be repatriated to their home localities as per existing transfer policy and further transfers to Hard areas should be done with a rider of deemed to be relieved after successful completion of tenure of one year.
Responding to a query by a member about large number of vacancies in far flung areas, Central Executive stressed that onus lies on the government only as it has failed miserably to implement policy of Tenure of 7 years for those selected/ recruited from RBA /ALC areas in those areas only with the result that General category employees are made to suffer.
Forum in one voice demanded that all promotee Principals as well as well as Lecturers should be adjusted preferably in their parent districts if clear cut vacancy is there.
Forum further hoped that burning issues and grievances of 10+2 cadre like Assured Career progression (ACP)/ Time Bound Promotion and Induction Quota into KAS in favour of Plus Two Lecturers till the proposed Education Administrative Service (EAS) is constituted.
Proceedings of the meeting were conducted by General Secretary RS slathia and technical support was provided by vice president Anil Sharma.
