Suspects seen in Jammu’s Belicharana belt, Police, Army launch search operation | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 4: Jammu Police along with the Army on receiving information about the movement of ‘suspects’ have launched a search operation in the Belicharana area here in city outskirts, almost a week after two drones airdropped explosives at Air Force Station Jammu. On Saturday night an information was received about the movement of some ‘suspects’ in Belicharana area following which search operation was launched by police and army teams,? police sources said. They said that picture of two suspects was also found by the police and on its basis, a joint search operation was launched. Belicharana area is just a few kilometers away from the Air Force Station Jammu. A military station is also situated in the same area on one side. After drone attacks, the security of the Air Force Station and its adjoining locations has also been tightening manifold. The intelligence wing of the police claimed to have seen ‘suspects’ in the area after which search operation was carried out,? sources in the Security Agencies said. Police, however, increased the checking of passersby and vehicles by installing temporary check posts from Belicharana to the Satwari belt. |
