Congress holds meet at Bishnah

JAMMU, July 4:

A meeting of the Block Congress Committee under the chairmanship of Secretary PCC Shashi Sharma was held at Bishnah which was presided over by Vijay Targotra, Block Congress President Bishnah. Addressing the meeting, Shashi Sharma apprised the leaders of Block Congress Committee about the issues highlighted by the party representatives including senior party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, PCC president G A Mir, ex-DyCM Tara Chand during the recently held all party meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital. Sharma thanked Ghulam Nabi Azad and others for projecting the burning issues of UT of J&K which include restoration of Statehood, holding early elections, land and job protection guarantee for locals, rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits and release of political prisoners. Shashi Sharma appealed to the party workers to make the general masses aware of these issues highlighted by the Congress party. Later the Congress leaders honoured the newly nominated office bearers of Block Bishnah. Vijay Targotra (Block President) and MR Puri (DCC General Secretary) appealed to the newly elected body to work hard to strengthen the party at grass root level.
