Dogra Front protests against CAPD | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 21: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena today staged protest demonstration against CAPD for allegedly causing inconvenience to the common man. The party workers raised slogans against the department. Addressing the protesters, Ashok Gupta said that the government has assigned the ration quota for the BPL of 5kg but the ration dealer are only giving 3.80 kg to the people, which has caused shortage of ration. He further stated that the ration depots are for the people, who cannot afford the ration on market prices and the ration dealers are supplying less ration and charging Rupees 4 per kg although the price fixed by the central government is Rupees 3 per kg. The ration dealers whose livelihood depends on the commission provided by the CAPD hasn't been given to them since past six months which has made their lives difficult. Ashok Gupta appealed the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to take action against those people, who have been trying to distort the idea of PM. These people who are working in the CAPD should be punished so that the poor doesn't suffer, he said. |
