| CAT directs PSC to conduct interview of petitioner for AP Forensic | | |

Jammu, Aug 4: The Central Administrative Tribunal, comprising Rakesh Sagar Jain Judicial Member and Anand Mathur Administrative Member today directed the Public Service Commission to conduct the interview of the applicant in response to his petition. The petition was filed by Dr. Showkat Rashid in which he had submitted before the Court that he was not being permitted to compete for the post of Assistant Professor (Lecturer), Forensic Medicine in Medical College, J&K, he filed a petition in which the Hon'ble High Court vide order dated O1.10.2019 taking into consideration the contention of applicant that he is entitled to be treated as in-service candidate found a prima facie case and subject to objections, directed the respondents to accept the Application form notwithstanding the fact that applicant has crossed age, prescribed in the advertisement notification. The CAT issued the directions to PSC and added that the result shall be kept in a sealed cover and opened as and when directed by the Tribunal. (JNF) |
