Hoist Tricolour on rooftops on Aug 5 to show solidarity: Kavinder
8/4/2021 10:57:31 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 4: Praising the revolutionary steps which PM Narendra Modi led BJP Government took in the Union Territory of J&K, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta asked the people to hoist Tricolour on their rooftops on August 5 to affirm solidarity on this auspicious day when J&K got freedom from clutches of contentious Article 370.
The former deputy Chief Minister was chairing a meeting here at Party Headquarters in Trikuta Nagar to chalk out a programme on holding various events on the completion of two years of abrogation of Article 370. Those who were present in the meeting included Vinay Gupta District President, Priya Sethi, Baldev Singh Baloria, Ankush Gupta General Secretary, Neeraj Puri, Rahul Kumar, Ramesh Gupta, Vishal Gupta and Ajay Gupta.
Kavinder said that the BJP Government at the Centre has accomplished so much in the UT of J&K that the region has witnessed colossal progress in the last few years. The steep fall in the stone pelting incidents and considerable reduction in terror acts are the two major achievements of the abrogation of Article 370 besides many other drastic changes which are proving beneficial for the people. He said as the normalcy is fast returning to Valley, peace and prosperity are also following and all this happened due to PM Modi’s tireless efforts especially post August 5, 2019.
The senior BJP leader specially mentioned the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in which J&K is leading in the entire country. He also gave account of numerous other extraordinary accomplishments of the Modi government in J&K including successful DDC and BDC elections, two AIIMs, Ring Road projects, Smart City initiative, two New Hydro Electric Projects viz Khrew and Rattle, rights to West Pak Refugees and Gorkhas, etc. He said that there is not an iota of doubt that what BJP has given to J&K no other party has even thought of doing the same and therefore people should back the party wholeheartedly in coming days to ensure lasting peace and gigantic development in the UT.
