DC Doda flaggs off cycle rally, Padh yatra

DODA, Aug 4: As part of the ongoing Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav being celebrated to imbibe the spirit of Nationalism among youth and promote the fit India and fit Doda movement, District Development Commissioner Doda,Vikas Sharma today flagged off a cycle rally and padh yatra here from Sports Stadium.
The Rally and Padh Yatra was organised by Youth Services & Sports department on the instructions of Director, Youth Services & Sports Mohammad Ashraf Batt and under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Doda Jaffar Haider Sheikh.
About 225 Boys and Girls of Government and Private Institutions of Doda and Ghat Zones, besides Physical Education Masters, PET, REK, NYCs of both zones took part in the Cycle Rally and Padh Yatra.
The Chief Guest (DDC) appreciated the efforts of Department of Youth Services and Sports for organizing such a huge cycle rally and Padh Yatra in a disciplined manner and following covid safety SOPs and guidelines. He advised to organise more such events in future to imbibe the spirit of Nationalism among the young generation.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports also provided refreshment and certificates to the participating students.
Chief Education Officer Doda and other officials of education and YSS department were present in Sports Stadium during the program.
