DC Ramban inspects trial run of Medical Oxygen Gas Plant at District Hospital
Sensitises people about PM-JAY-SEHAT scheme

RAMBAN, Aug 4: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, today visited the District Hospital to take stock of health facilities being provided to patients besides reviewing the implementation of Covid protocols there.
After inspecting the ongoing construction work of 1500 LPM Medical Oxygen Gas Plant in the hospital, the DC said that a trial run on the first part of 750 LPM oxygen plant has been started today and second part of 750 LPM will also start functioning soon.
While reviewing the implementation of PM-JAY-SEHAT scheme, the DC directed Medical Superintendent to sensitize the patients and their attendants, besides ensure that all the patients avail the benefits from this health insurance scheme.
The Deputy Commissioner also went around the wards and interacted with the patients and attendants. He informed them about the SEHAT scheme which aims to provide Universal Health Insurance Coverage of Rs. 5.00 lakh to all residents of J&K UT.
The DC informed that registration of beneficiaries under SEHAT scheme has been intensified in the district and nearly 10000 registrations have been made in a week across the district.
The DC also urged the general public to contact nearest VLEs for registration along with their Aadhar and Ration Cards. He added that after registration, their Golden Cards will be generated and issued which shall provide the people cashless healthcare facilities in a hassle-free manner in empanelled health institutions.
He also advised them to wear masks and maintain physical distance in order to prevent Covid-19 infection.
The Deputy Commissioner also checked the roster of the doctors and other paramedical staff on call and duty and passed directions for ensuring that all medical facilities are extended to OPD & IPD patients in a hassle-free manner.
He also directed the hospital administration to regulate parking of vehicles in the hospital for which additional manpower has been deputed.
The DC was accompanied by Tehsildar, Rafiq Ahmed, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Hameed Zargar and other senior officers.
