DC Ramban inaugurates five day Skill Training programme on State ECCE curriculum

RAMBAN, Aug 4: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today inaugurated a five day skill training program organized by CII Foundation for ICDS Supervisors and Anganwadi workers on State ECCE curriculum.
The Deputy Commissioner also released the Translated version of State ECCE Curriculum 'Nanhe Kadam' and handed over water purifiers to Anganwadi Centres made available under Anganwadi Adoption Program.
The program is funded under the banner of 'Anganwadi Adoption Programme' by CII Foundation in collaboration with ICDS J&K with Jammu and Kashmir Association of Social Workers (JKASW) and Mobile Creches Delhi as facilitating partner and Technical partner, respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the role of CII in conducting informative programmes and asked the management to conduct more such events for the welfare of the society. He also appreciated the role of AWWs and Supervisors during COVID times.
The session was also attended by CDPO Ramban and ECCE Project Team.
Giving details, representative of CII Foundation Shivani Kumar said that the main aim of the programme is to develop the capacity of 50 Anganwadi workers, 5 Supervisors and 1 CDPO selected under Anganwadi Adoption Program since 2019.
She further said that the infrastructural support is also being provided under the same head which includes Colouring, Art work, furnishing, Water Purifiers and Utensils to these selected 50 AW Centres. "The current skill training is running at three venues with parallel batches simultaneously keeping all the COVID Protocols in place" she added.
The organization is conducting this five day programme at three different locations including JKTDC Cafeteria Ramban, Malik Resort Nashri and JKTDC Tourist Dak Banglow Ramban and will conclude on August 7 2021.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner also went around the main market and inspected the bus stand and shops. He asked the drivers and shopkeepers to ensure use of face masks by the passengers and customers prior to allowing them inside their vehicles and shops.
