NYK organizes campaign to celebrate Swachhta Pakhwada

UDHAMPUR, Aug 6: Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur (UT of Jammu & Kashmir), Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India is organizing a fifteen days Campaign from 1st August to 15th August to celebrate "Swachhta Pakhwada".
In this campaign, various activities like Cleanliness, Swachhta Abhiyan, Cleanliness drives, Painting competitions, Wall writings, Tree Plantation and Rallys with the theme "Clean Village Green Village" are being organized by National Youth Volunteers of District Udhampur in all 17 Blocks of the district to motivate and spread awareness regarding Swachhta and Shramdaan. More than 100 Youth clubs and Yuvti Mandals have participated in this campaign so far. The administrative authorities, sectoral officers, public representatives, PRI members, are also being involved in these activities to propagate the message of cleanliness at the grassroot level.
In Khoon Block, Ex MLA RS Pathania along with the DDC vice chairman Juhi Manhas attended the awareness campaign coordinated by NYV Ansuya sharma on 1st August. Similarly, in Block Parlidhar, BDO Alka Mishra participated in the plantation drive coordinated by NYV Sulekha Devi on the same day. In Block Majalta, NYVs Preeti and Sapna organized awareness campaign on 5th August which was graced by BDO Kannu Magotra and revenue officials. All these activities organized under the supervision of District Youth Officer Khushal Gupta will continue upto 15th August under which plastic eradicaton and awareness to beat plastic pollution will remain the primary focus.
