GDC Jindrah holds plantation drive

JAMMU, Aug 28: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah conducted a plantation drive at Pounthal Panchayat to mark the theme of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The whole plantation drive was done under the supervision of Dr. Sunil Sharma, Program officer, NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah. The NSS volunteers planted as many as two hundred saplings of different trees of medicinal value in areas under the jurisdiction of Pounthal Panchayat. The areas covered under the drive were panchayat ghar, Govt Middle School and dispensary of Chulana. During the event Sarpanch, Anil Barsala; Panches ; staff of school and dispensary; and locals were also presented to support and participate in the drive.
Prof. Rajshree Dhar, principal, GDC Jindrah not only provided the guidelines to conduct the plantation drive but also applauded the efforts made by NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah. The whole event of plantation drive was compiled by Dr. Seema. The drive was very much appreciated by all the eminent personalities and locals presented on the occasion. Everybody very actively participated in the event and made this drive a huge success
