Babus misleading everyone on 100% vaccination to above 45-year age group | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 28: A couple of elderly persons, who were holding a protest against the nonavailability of doses at the Red Cross Building at Kacchi Chowni in the heart of Jammu city, have exposed the casual approach of the authorities to fight deadly Coronavirus. Shockingly those who were protesting against nonavailability of vaccine were above age group of 45 years. For the last one month, authorities in J&K are claiming that 100 percent population of the above 45-year group has been inoculated in the Jammu district. The biggest question is If 100 percent population of this category is inoculated then why elderly people were protesting against non-availability of vaccine? Today’s protest at Red Cross Building exposed two claims of the J&K government. First 100 percent population of above 45-year group of the category is yet to be immunized. Claims of the authorities to immunize 100 percent population of this age group is fake. Instead of assessing the ground situation, Babus trying to mislead Union Government as well as Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Secondly, authorities are claiming that vaccine is available in all vaccination centre and this claim is also fake. As per the statement of Sunil Dimple leader of Jammu West Assembly Movement, for the last five days people have been coming for immunization but every day they have to return back without vaccination due to non-availability of vaccination. No COVID, vaccine supplied in vaccination centres across Jammu district for the last more than five days. Reports coming from many other, rural areas most of the vaccination centres are closed due to non-availability of vaccines. The ‘free Tikaa Abhiyan’ is proving a flop show. After spending crores of rupees on advertisements situation on the ground is worsening”, Dimple said. |
