1413 Votes cast out of 1591 in JKHCBAJ Elections

JAMMU, Aug 28: Today much awaited election of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association held at High Court Complex.
There are total 1591 Votes out of which 1413 Votes casted. Out of 1413 Votes, 98 votes are postal votes whereas 211 ladies votes casted.
It is worthwhile to mention here that four candidates namely Ashok Sharma, MK Bhardwaj, K Nirmal Kotwal and Ranjit Singh in fray for the post of President, four candidates namely Gurjeet Singh Wazir, Mohinder Pal Singh (Palli), Prem Singh Pawar and Rohit Verma in fray for the post of Vice-President, For General Secretary Amit Gupta, Himanshu Sharma and Surjeet Singh Andotra in fray, for Joint Secretary Aditya Sharma and Atul Raina in fray whereas Amandeep Singh and Sahil Sharma in fray for the post of Treasurer.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the polling starts at 10: AM and ends at 5 PM. According to the Returning Officer, the counting will start at 1 PM on 29th of August 2021 due to Covid 19 SOP, counting could not be completed before 10 PM.
