Gurmeet visits Ward No 4, takes stock of people's grievances | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 26: President Beopar Mandal & District General Secretary Congress Gurmeet Singh, Block President Jammu East Anand Gandotra, Ward No 3 President Hardavinder Singh and other leaders visited Parade Ward No 4 and heard the grievances of the public residing there. It was told by the residents that there is no cleanness in the area which encourages diseases like Dengu and Coronavirus. Speaking on the occasion, Gurmeet Singh said that it is the responsibility of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to look after the cleanliness of the area with the help of concerned Supervisor appointed by the JMC but no action is being taken either by the Municipal Officers or the concerned supervisor. If the supervisor is not doing his job properly then he must be fined of Rs 25000 for dereliction of duty, Singh added. He said that Rs 30000 crore were sanctioned for Pardhan Mantri Swachh Bharat Abhiyan but the question remained to be answered as to how much is being spent on cleanliness of Jammu city since there is there is hardly any Swachh Bharat Abhiyan visible here. We shall therefore stress upon the Central Government to held court of inquiry by the CBI so that the details of amount spent by the UT govt be furnished to the general public of J&K, Singh added. |
