HC Stays investigation against JKAS officer, teacher for taking relief | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 26: The High Court has stayed the investigation in FIR registered by Crime Branch Jammu against JKAS officer Neha Kashyap Pandita and her sister, Meenakshi Pandita, a government teacher for drawing relief meant for the Kashmiri migrants despite being government servants. Justice Rajneesh Oswal issued notice and ordered that subject to objections, the investigation of qua to the Neha and her sister shall stay. During the course of hearing Advocate Ankur Sharma submitted that the impugned FIR is a counter blast to an FIR filed against proforma respondent Ramesh Kumar Bhat (JKPS) involving moral turpitude/impersonation. The current SSP Crime Branch is a batch mate of Bhat (JKPS) and he seems to be swayed away at Bhat (JKPS) desperation and insistence in filing a false FIR against the petitioners so that the same can be used as a tool to settle FIR registered against Bhat. He argued that only allegation in the impugned FIR is that the petitioner No.1 & 2 despite being government officials are taking benefit under migrant relief quota. It is pertinent to mention herein that on 14-3-2019 petitioner 3 being father of the petitioners & 2 and head of the family moved an application to the Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner, Jammu which was forwarded to the Camp Commandant Jagti (C) Township Nagrota Camp requesting him to stop the relief of petitioners 1 & 2 and accordingly bifurcate their name from ration card No.40955. |
