Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 26: Yuva Rajput Sabha on Tuesday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has scrapped Dogra certificate and is out to end the Dogra culture. Addressing a news conference here, president of Yuva Rajput Sabha said, “People of Jammu should ask the BJP leaders why they are out to destroy the Dogras.
If the BJP leaders don’t answer our questions we will not let them come out of their homes.”
He said, “If the government fails to declare a holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday, we will not launch a door to door campaign in the Jammu region and will ask the people not to allow BJP leaders to come out of their homes.”
He claimed that BJP played politics by installing a statue of Maharaja Hari Singh at its office in Jammu and “it’s just a part of vote bank politics.”
“It seems the government is under pressure from Kashmir that’s why it’s not announcing a holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday. The present regime is following the footsteps of the erstwhile Kashmir centric governments.” The Yuva Rajput Sabha president said, “We will not rest till the government declares Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday as a holiday. Maharaja gave us the right to lift the tricolor and facilitated the merger of J&K into the Union of India.”
He said, “The government is ignoring the aspirations of Jammu people and the BJP will have to pay heavy price for it in the forthcoming assembly elections.”
