| KVK Reasi organizes Special Swachhata Campaign | | |

REASI, Oct 26: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) organized Special Swachhata Campaign here today at KVK, Reasi campus which was attended by KVK officials and local people. The month long campaign was commenced from October 2 and will continue till October 31. The campaign was organized under the supervision of Director Extension of SKUAST-J, Prof SK Gupta, Scientist & Head of KVK, Reasi.
Dr Banarsi Lal led the campaign for cleanliness drive and urged the participants to be a part of Swachhat Bharat Abhiyan.
He spoke on the cleanliness and hygienic conditions required for a healthy life. He said that there is need to aware more and more people on sanitation and suggested the participants to keep their villages, campuses, temples, mosques clean and green. He emphasized on the cleaning of drinking water areas, toilets, crop fields etc. He said the participants that this campaign can reduce disease infestation in human beings, animals and crops. Dr Banarsi appealed the participants to make Swacchata a habit in their daily routine whether it is home, office, neighbourhood so that the sacred Swachhata Mission can be made successful. He also spoke on the composting and vermicomposting technology. |
