| Vigilance awareness week begins in POWERGRID | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 26: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna company under Ministry of Power, Government of India, is observing Vigilance Awareness Week with the theme Independent India@75: Self Reliance with Integrity from 26th October to 1st November, 2021 in all its offices falling under Northern Region Transmission System-II. During this week, several programmes are being organized for creating awareness amongst masses, youth, employees and their family members, highlighting evils of corruption and its impact on society.
At Regional Headquarters, Jammu, a pledge was administered virtually to all its employees by K Sreekant, CMD, POWERGRID. Kailash Rathore, Executive Director, NRTS-II addressed the employees and reiterated the value of practicing virtues of integrity and honesty in all spheres of life.
An e-pledge counter has also been setup wherein employees are being administered integrity e-pledge through the CVC website.
Earlier vendors meet was also organized through virtual mode which was attended by representatives of twenty companies and site in-charges of NRTS-II. During the meet, various issued were deliberated and suggestions were sought from participants for further improvements.
A speech competition was also organized for the spouses of male employees on the topic Independent India@75: Self Reliance with Integrity. Amandeep, Pinky, Anuradha and Supriyawere adjudged first second, third and fourth respectively in this competition.
