Congress supports police SI aspirants demand for age relaxation | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 28: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress has extended support to the police SI aspirants seeking age relaxation and asked the government ti conceede to their demand for one time age relaxation. Extending support to their cause, JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, former MLC has said that the aspirants have a strong case as there were no selections for the PSIs posts on regular basis and during the long spell of period of twelve years only twice such selections have taken place, once in 2009 and 2016. A large number of candidates have been deprived of the chance to take part in the competition or got only one chance in life. Their demand for age relaxation is quite justified and the government must consider the demand sympathetically. There is huge unemployment in the age group of 28 to 33 years comprising PG, M Phil and PhD, whose number is over three lacs alone. The rate of unemployment is highest in jamu and Kashmir which has been assessed 22..6 percent. The party demands that the government should conceede the genune demand of favourably, said Sharma asking the aspirants to be peaceful in their demand. |
