| Tributes paid to martyrs of 1947 at Gurdwara Sahib War Memorial Darhal | | |

SUNDERBANI, Oct 28: Rich tributes were paid to the martyrs of Qila Darhal, Nowshera, who fought against Pakistani raiders during 1947-48, 1965, 1971 and 1999. A function is being held every year on October 28 to commemorate the civilian martyrs who laid down their lives to defend their country and had repulsed the attack by the Pakistani treacherous and murderous raiders in 1947.
Akhand Path was organized on October 6 and Guru-ka-Langar was also held at Gurdwara Sahib war memorial Shaheed Garh Qila Darhal. Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Brigade Commander Nowshera commanding officer of 54 RR and many others paid rich tributes to the martyrs and also saluted their families for their sacrifices for the sake of the nation. |
