| Bishnah farmers meet revenue authorities, project demands | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 28: A deputation of farmers from Bishnah led by Shashi Sharma, Secretary JKPCC and Vice Chairman Kissan Cell JKPCC met Tehsildar Bishnah and Arnia Sohan Lal Rana at his office chamber and apprised him of the hardships being faced by farmers due to heavy rains and hailstorms in the area due to which their more than 80 percent of paddy crop has been destroyed.
The farmers said that administration should take necessary steps to compensate the affected farmers with at least Rs 6,000 per kanal as compensation. They said that administration should depute revenue as well as agriculture teams in the fields so as to make on spot assessment of loss fairly. |
