JAMMU, Oct 28: As many as 70 fencers participated in two-day 12th District Udhampur Fencing Championship organized by the District Fencing Association Udhampur under the aegis of Adhoc committee of Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Fencing Association in collaboration Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.
A handout issued here said that the two days competition was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib and Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Syed Khan on Wednesday under various age groups for men and women at Indoor Hall, Subhash Stadium, Udhampur.
On the concluding day today, S S Yadav, 2 I-C, 137 Battalion, CRPF Udhampur was the chief guest while ACD Mushtaq Choudhary was the guest of honour, social Activist Swarn Singh Rathore was the Special guest, SHO Women Cell Isha Mahajan, Preeti Khajuria, Ward No 1 Counsellor were the special guests.
The bouts were held under the technical supervision of (retired) Col Balwant Singh (President), Mohammad Tariq (International fencer and Gen Secy District Fencing Assn) and Rajan Prasher, Surbhi Anthal, International fencers |
