| GDC RS Pura conducts door to door cleanliness drive | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 28: NSS Unit of Govt Degree College (GDC) RS Pura under Clean India Programme, an initiative of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to celebrate "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" carried out door to door visits in their respective areas and collected household garbage. About 20 students participated in the campaign. They also interacted with the villagers about the ill effects of plastics and e-waste, health and hygiene, waste disposal etc. and educated them about disadvantages of Single Use Plastics, segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes, use of green and blue bins etc. The campaign was organized under the patronage of worthy Principal, Prof Sunil Uppal and supervision of Prof Bindu Kumari, NSS Programme Officer. |
