| HC grants three weeks time to Commissioner Secretary PWD, others to file compliance report | | |

JAMMU, Nov 12: Justice Sindhu Sharma granted three weeks time to Commissioner Secretary PWD, Chief Engineer PWD and Executive Engineer PWD to file compliance report in this contempt petition which is pending for the last more than three years.
As the contempt petition came for the hearing the counsel for the petitioner drew the attention of the court towards the previous date order dated 30-9-2021 where by the court had directed the contemnors to file the fresh compliance report and today also they did not filed the compliance report. The counsel submitted that more than three years elapsed since the filing of this contempt petition but time and again the contemnors counsel on every date of hearing seeking time for the compliance report. The writ court has disposed off his writ petition way back in 2015 and now six years down the line but nothing fruitful has been done so far by these contemnors who had taken my land but did not paid me any compensation which smacks of their willfully flouting and disobeying the court order without any fear of the law.
After considering the submissions of both the counsels, the court granted the three weeks time to the counsel for the contemnors to file the compliance report and next date of the hearing fixed for 13 -12-2021. |
