| Dead man gets certificate for second Covid vaccination dose | | | Rajesh Tandon

Jammu, Nov 11: In order to achieve a hundred percent target of COVID vaccination, the Health Department has created a flutter after a family received a message of second dose of COVID vaccination to a man who died seven months ago. Similar cases are being reported in Rajouri and Poonch districts but authority seems to be in deep slumber. The incident happened in Jammu where a family received a SMS on November 11, 2021 that Jagdish Chander Saini resident of Upper Gummat has successfully been vaccinated with COVISHIELD but shockingly the man had died seven months ago. Deceased received first dose in March this year but he died in April but family received a message on November 11 that a second dose has been given and a certificate was issued. The certificate has shown that in a special drive, the second dose has been administered. This act of the Health Department has pointed out that in order to achieve a hundred percent target the department is making blunders. In Poonch district the situation seems similar where authorities are not replying to RTIs seeking details about the COVID vaccination. |
