| Ahead of No Confidence Motion, V-P Municipal Committee Thathri resigns | | Says no development is taking place | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Kishtwar, Nov 12: In another development ahead of voting for no confidence motion, vice-president Municipal Committee Thathri Gurukesh Gupta resigned from his post on Thursday morning.
Addressing a news conference here, the BJP leader said, "Due to inefficiency of municipality and the concerned members, people are suffering badly and no works are being done in Thathri. That is why my party and I have decided to resign from this post."
While president Municipal Committee Thathri Mansoor Ahmed Bhat said, "Four members of municipal committee have submitted a resolution to me and EO Thathri that vice-president Gurukesh Gupta is not cooperating with them in any works in the Municipality limits and they want to bring a no confidence motion against the V-P."
"The V-P Municipal Committee Thathri who is from Bhartiya Janata Party submitted his resignation ahead of no confidence motion. Now EO Thathri will take necessary action for election of new vice-president, " he added.
It is pertinent to mention that out of six ward members, four backed by the Congress party moved the no confidence motion against Kumar who is lone BJP member in MC Thathri that has presently the strength of six members following the death of Congress ward member Neek Alam. |
