| gdc thannamandi organizes symposium on aids awareness | | |

Jammu, Dec 3: Red Ribbon club of GDC Thannamandi in collaboration with NSS unit of the college and the J&K AIDS CONTROL SOCIETY under the 3rd phase of implementing NEW INDIA 75 (Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav) campaign organized by National Aids Control Organization,(NACO)), MOH&FW, GOI.
The event was presided upon by the principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi. A good number of students participated in the event and expressed their views and their efforts to spread awareness on aids. The students expressed their perspective on the topic “TALK OF AIDS FOR NO AIDS”.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi, congratulated all the participants for their enthusiastic participation in the activities conducted under the banner NEW INDIA @75. He also enlightened the students to always be open in expressing their views and participate in such activities for their complete personality development in addition to academics. The program was moderated by Prof. Khalid Rayaz, HOD Geography of the college.
All the faculty members, non-teaching staff and students graced the occasion. The judges of the symposium were Dr. Nahim Un Nisa, Prof. Mudsar Majeed and Prof. Tahir Nadeem. Mr. Adil Rauf Khan secured 1st position, Mr. Adnan Aquib bagged 2nd position and Ms. Sana Rehman clinched 3rd position. The programee concluded with vote of thanks presented by Prof. Mohd Shoket NSS Programee officer.
