17-yrs on, process to recruit foresters still incomplete | Govt mulling to re-advertise posts, aspirants left high and dry | |
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: Job aspirants who had applied for the posts of foresters in 2005 and 2010 and in the subsequent years have been left high and dry as the authorities have decided to re-advertise these posts. The job aspirants while talking to a local news channel said that the process to recruit the foresters had commenced in 2004 and for the past seventeen years they have been waiting for it to get completed. “Many of us have crossed the age bar. When we had filled up the form in 2004 we were young but during all these years we have become old.” They said, “We are not seeking any relaxation from the government, we are demanding that we should be given an opportunity to at least appear in the exams to prove our worth.” Irony is that the government has decided that the applications that were invited for the posts of foresters will be scrapped and new applications will be invited for these posts. “Before re-advertising these posts the government should pay some attention towards the plight of the aspirants who have applied in 2004, 2010 and 2013. Once these posts are re-advertised it will lead to more people applying for these posts and it will make things difficult for many aspirants who have been waiting for the past 17-years,” they said. The aspirants urged the government to “take a reasonable decision” and complete the process which started seventeen years ago. |
