Adopt 'Nation First—Self Last' as key to contribute in nation building: Kavinder asks volunteers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta called upon the youth to adopt the principle of ‘Nation First and Self Last’ in their life in order to contribute in the nation building as responsible citizens of the world’s largest democracy. He was addressing an august gathering at a function in connection with ‘International Volunteers Week’ celebrations in which he was the Chief Guest and Tarun Uppal, Chairperson, Nirbhay Bharat Foundation was the Guest of Honour. Dr Rohit Kaul was the Special Guest. The function was organized by Magic Bus India Foundation Jammu at Govt. Girls High School Gandhi Nagar here today. In his address on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that the celebration of ‘International Volunteers Week’ provides an opportunity for volunteers and organizations to further enhance their efforts, share their values, and promote their work among their communities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), UN agencies, government authorities and the private sector. He said that since substantial components comprises of youth therefore there is a need to focus on imparting skill development courses in consonance with the evolving needs of the job market. He said that this would ensure better jobs and secured future for the youth and only then they can contribute their best as volunteers in the nation building. This will enable them to ultimately volunteer for the common future of the humanity across the globe. Kavinder Gupta appealed to the youth to adopt 'Nation First and Self Last' in all their endeavours as that is the key to success for any nation. He asserted that Bharatiya Janata Party has achieved success in becoming number one party by following the aforesaid principle besides making volunteerism as inseparable part of its functioning. The main highlight of the event was the felicitation ceremony to honour the Community Youth Leaders of Magic Bus India Foundation Jammu namely Mamta Sharma, Karishma, Rohit, Abhey Jamwal, Rohit Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Amit Kumar and Saniya Bano. The teachers of the school namely S. Rangeel Singh, Seema Koundal, Sanjeev Sharma, Miss Mousmi Verma, Saiqa Akhter Khan and Iqvinderpal Singh were also felicitated for their outstanding services. The foundation also acknowledged the relentless efforts of the In-Charge Head Master, Ganesh Khajuria and showered accolades on him as a token of appreciation. |
