BMS demands revision in minimum wages | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: A deputation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Jammu and Kashmir demanded for revision in minimum wages as it has been passed 5 years as last minimum wages were revised on the basis of consumer Prise Index of December 2016 and the minimum wages has lost its relevance and face value of Rs 6750/- has eroded to Rs 4500/- as on date and it has become very difficult to manage with this low wages BMS today submitted memorandum to Commissioner Secretary Labour and employment as well as to the Advisor labour and employment (F) and requested for revision of Minimum wages to Rs 12000/- for unskilled worker and requested for calling advisory Board meeting for t revise minimum wages without any further delay, said in a press release. |
