Police arrested two drug peddlers, recovered contraband in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 3: Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered a huge quantity of contraband substance from them in south Kashmir on Friday. A police spokesman said, acting on specific information police raided a residential house at Nussu Badragund in Qazigund in south Kashmir. He said during the raid police recovered 100 kgs of Fukki from the possession of a notorious drug peddler. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Amir Ganie of Nussu Badragund Qazigund who was arrested and lodged into police custody. Meanwhile in Pulwama district of south Kashmir Police during a routine checking at Eidgah crossing intercepted a suspicious person identified as Imran Rashid a resident of Sonsamil. On frisking 10 bottles of codeine phosphate was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody. Accordingly cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective police stations and investigations have been taken up. |
