| Seminar on HID organised by GDC Ramgarh | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: To commemorate the World AIDS Day, GDC Ramgarh organized a seminar on the topic ‘HIV and Hepatitis Prevention’.
It is observed each year on December 1and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV, and remember those who have died from an HIV-related illness. The theme of World AIDS Day 2021 is “End inequalities. End AIDS”.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr) Meeru Abrol, Principal, GDC Ramgarh stated that these kinds of programmes will help to raise awareness on the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection.
HIV/AIDS Awareness programmes help people become aware of the levels of care and treatment, whether they are living with HIV or caring for someone with this disease. Students of Semester V namely Shikha Sharma and Prinka Devi spoke with full zest on this important day. The event was conducted by Bhupinder Kour (Department of Environmental Science), Convener Eco Club and Dr Narinder Singh (Department of Sociology). |
