Rajouri: DLC clears 72 Forest Rights Act Claims | 846 claims settled till date; 3959 families benefited | |

RAJOURI, Dec 3: District Level Committee on the Forest Rights Act today cleared 72 claims in Rajouri. The DLC meeting was held under the Chairmanship of the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan. DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; DFO Nowshera, Neelima; ADC Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Sambayal; ADC Kalakote, Krishan Lal; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ADC Koteranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SDM Thanamandi, besides other concerned officers attended the meeting. After a threadbare discussion and scrutiny of all the claims put up in the meeting, the committee settled 72 cases of FRA benefiting over 629 families and 2788 souls. It is worth mentioning here that the DLC Rajouri has settled 846 cases till date under FRA and 3959 families and 19438 souls have been benefited. Discussing the progress concerning the identification of the bridle paths within the forest boundaries, the DC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers about the number of bridle paths identified so far in their respective jurisdictions who in turn briefed about the same. All ADCs, SDM have been directed to submit the list of the identified bridle paths to the DFOs for further course of action at their end so that these community assets within forest boundaries can be covered under the Forest Right Act. DC stressed adopting a coordinated approach to ensure that all the eligible beneficiaries are covered and provided necessary benefits under the act. He also emphasized upon the concerned departments to work with added zeal for getting the desired results within the stipulated time frame. |
