People must play proactive role in safeguarding public properties: Kavinder | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 7: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta has impressed upon the people to play a proactive role in safeguarding public properties. In a statement issued to media here today, Kavinder Gupta while expressing great concern and anguish over the damage caused by certain disgruntled elements to the 'Selfie Point' in the Bus Stand area yesterday, said that the 'Selfie Points' were established in order to enhance the beauty of the City of Temples so that these also serve as tourist attractions and the cost expended on these comes from the tax Payers' money. "These properties belong to the people of Jammu and maintaining them is our responsibility", Kavinder said. It is pertinent to mention here that, the Selfie points were developed as part of the Smart City beautification plan by the JSCL that was constituted in August 2017 by the JK administration for the implementation of Smart City Development Projects Meanwhile a number of delegations from various parts of Jammu called on the former Dy. CM at his residence here today. They highlighted their issues pertaining to power, water supply and dilapidated lanes and drains seeking redressal of the same. He listened to the delegation members patiently and assured to take up their issues with the concerned authorities and get the same addressed at the earliest. |
