BHADERWAH, Dec 7: Under initiatives of Govt of India and IQAC Department of Computer Sciences GDC Bhaderwah organized a seminar on ‘Cyber Crimes and Safety’. To start with the program, Prof Arjun Kumar, HOD Computer Sciences Department presented the welcome address. On the occasion 14 student speakers namely Kuljit Kumar, Rhitika Sharma, Nitin Manhas, Shivangi Jamwal, sujeet singh, yasir Ahmad, Parul Manhas, Vishal Bharti, Shriya Sharma, Irfan Ahmed, Riya Sharma, Danish Ikhlaq, Meenakshi Devi presented their papers on different issues related to cyber crimes and safety measures. The speakers through their powerpoint presentations drew the attention of the audience towards the day today crimes pertaining to the use of Internet such as Internet Calling, Phishing, Hacking, Spoofing, Identity Theft, Cracking and online frauds. Among the faculty members Prof SS Parihar presented his views on the occasion as how the internet users can differentiate between the uses and abuses of the Internet in the present day busy life and fast growing technology. Presenting his views during the program, Dr KK Sharma, Principal of the College motivated and guided the students and the staff to excel not only in academics but also in extra-curricular and co- curricular activities. The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks presented by Prof Tariq Bhutt from Department of Computer Science. A large number of students and staff attended the programme. |
