JAMMU, Dec 7: To commemorate the Armed Forces Flag Day, the NCC Units (Boys & Girls) of 2 J&K Bn NCC Jammu organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with District Hospital Udhampur. The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Prof Subhash Chander Sharma, Principal of the College, under the supervision of Dr KC Dogra, Chief Medical Officer Udhampur. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest applauded the organizers for taking in hand such a noble task with a humanitarian vision. He emphasized on organizing such programmes in a regular manner so that maximum help is provided to the needy. The cadets of NCC, Volunteers of NSS, students of Sports Department and the staff of the College donated 29 units of Blood. The principal of the college also flagged off the Cadets for the collection of funds to honour the valour and sacrifices of Armed Forces. The Flag Day contribution/donation would be sent for the rehabilitation, resettlement and welfare of ex-serviceman and their families. The programme was attended by Prof Babu Lal Thakur, Prof Romesh Kumar Atri, ANO Boys Bn Maj Kamal Kishore, ANO Girls Bn Capt Shivani Sharma, Shashi Kumar Sharma (PTI), Dr Pankaj Sharma, Dr Nitika Sharma (Pathalogist), Sanjay Gupta, Javid Choudary (Lab Technicians), Sapna Manhas (Staff Nurse), Sunil Kumar (Medical Assistant of the College) and others. |
