GDC Darhal organizes poster making competition on “Cyber Crime” | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 7: A poster making competition on the theme “Cyber Crime” was organized by Govt Degree College (GDC) Darhal in which students of the college prepared posters related to cyber-crime and cyber security. Principal of the college, Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia congratulated the students of the college for their participation in the competition. He said that such type of competitions will create awareness among students regarding cyber-crime and make them more alert and active. He told that Cyber-crime or attack is the systematic criminal activity occurring digitally and done by attackers. He said that this is the reason government agencies and companies are investing more on the maintenance and hiring cyber-crime experts. He said that need of the hour is Cyber-security for all the digital devices because it not only helps to secure information but also our system from virus attack. Speaking on the occasion, senior faculty member Dr Imtiaz Hussain Shah appreciated the efforts of the students in preparing very effective posters on cyber Crime. He motivated the students to secure themselves and their families against these cyber-attacks. He told that strong password is more secure and helps in avoiding cyber attacks. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Riaz, HOD Persian. Sayed Aqsa, Simran Naz and Sadia Irem were adjudged first, second and third respectively. Liyaqat Ali and Gulnaz Akhter got consolation prizes. Dr Asif, Dr Mukhtiar, Dr Jawaid Ahmad Mir, Mahwish, and Farzana were the jury members. Others present on the occasion were Safeer, Avez, Jameel Ahmed and Saddam. The programme was attended by a large number of students of the college. |
