| JK Police arrests 4 drug peddlers, recovers banned drug | | |

SRINAGAR, Dec 10: Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday arrested four drug peddlers in sopore township of north Kashmir district of Baramulla and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession. A police spokesman said, acting on a tip off about a drug trade taking place at Ladoora crossing, police established a naka and intercepted four persons. During the checking the police recovered 1008 banned capsules from their possession. The accused have been identified as Muhammad Ramzan Dar, Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, Umer Yousuf and Farooq Ahmad Ambar were arrested and shifted to police custody. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at police Dangiwacha in Baramulla district and further investigations have been initiated. |
