FOB Rajouri launches Drug De-Addiction campaign in Thannamandi

RAJOURI, Dec 10: As part of awareness campaign on Drug De-Addiction, Field Outreach Bureau (FOB) Rajouri launched a 2-day intensive Outreach & Communication programme at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Thannamandi. The programme was organized under the chairmanship of Javid Iqbal Raina, Vice Principal of the Institute where as Vikas Dhar, SDM, Thannamandi was the chief guest and Sahil Ali Shah, Tehsildar, Thannamandi was the guest of honour of the function.
Speaking on this occasion, the chief guest highlighted the importance of Drug De-Addiction awareness programmes for the betterment of the society especially the younger generation. A rally of 25 students was flagged off by Vikas Dhar, SDM, Thannamandi in presence of Sahil Ali Shah, Tehsildar, Thannamandi, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Abdul Hamid, Vice Principal Javid Iqbal Raina and Station House Officer, Farid Ahmed.
An open quiz on Drug De-addiction was also organized to aware students about the menace of Drug addiction. About 35 Questions related to the subject were put to about 25 students. The quiz was conducted by Ayaz Raina, (National ITC Awardee) using smart technology. Speaking on this occasion Gurnam Singh, Incharge Field Outreach Bureau, Rajouri also highlighted the importance of these awareness programmes and urged audience to act as ambassadors and message carrier to spread the awareness of Drug De-addiction in the respective villages and area.
Flexes containing messages of Drug De-Addictions were also placed at prominent places of the area. On this occasion, a slogan competition on Drug De-addiction was also organized in which 25 students of the Institute participated. Slogans containing message of prevention of Drug Addiction was an attraction of the programme.
