| Preacher killed, three others injured in car accident in Kashmir | | |

SRINAGAR, Dec 10: A prominent preacher was killed and three others were injured after a car in which they were traveling dashed with a divider near a bridge in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir district of Anantnag on Friday, a traffic police official said.
He said, the preacher identified as Tanveer Ahmad Qaureshi a resident of Kandi Kernah in frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara died on the spot when the ill fated car dashed with a divider of a newly constructed bridge at Arwani in Bijbehara.
Three other occupants identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, Shahzad Ahmad Bhat and Umer Khan were also injured during the accident, the traffic official said and added they were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment. |
