| GDC Pouni conducts lecture on Human Rights Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
REASI, Dec 10: The Career Counselling Cell in collaboration with Department of History of Government Degree College (GDC) Pouni, Reasi conducted a lecture on the eve of Human Rights Day on the theme’ Equality-Reducing Inequalities, Advancing Human Rights’ under the banner of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav. Incharge IQAC Prof. Balbir Kumar and HOD, Department of Economics was the chief guest of the programme and addressed the inaugural session.
Dr. Adil Hussain Khanday, HOD, Department of Pol Science was the main speaker who have elaborated in detail about the history of human rights and how different sections burned midnight oil or struggle hard for getting their basic human rights around the world.
Around 70 students and all other faculty members were present in the programme taking into consideration all COVID related instructions.
The whole event was coordinated by Dr. Tarseem Kumar, HOD Dogri. Principal of the college Prof. Rajni Bhagat appreciated and congratulated the efforts of students and the staff for their active involvement in such co-curricular activities. The lecture ended with vote of tanks presented by Dr. Sarveer Hussain.
