GDC Sunderbani organizes lecture on Human Rights | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SUNDERBANI, Dec 10: The NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College Sunderbani organized a Special Lecture on ‘Human Rights: Changing perspective in Present Era’ today on International Human Rights Day. A large number of students gathered in the programme. Before, proceedings of the programme, all volunteers and faculty members affirmed pledge to uphold the human rights and dignity in the society. Dr Vandana Gupta Principal GDC Sunderbani, formally welcomed the gathering. While speaking on the occasion, she said that NSS volunteers are vibrant and active ambassadors of change. In this way it is responsibility of every individual to bring change in society, so in this way NSS volunteers play important role in shaping and sharing opinion in public. Dr said the protection of human rights in society is the need of the society in present time.so she appreciated NSS unit and Political science department for jointly organized such an event. Followed by Prof. Mukesh Kumar Sharma (HOD Department of Political Science) brought his views on human rights. On the occasion of Human Rights Day, Dr. Shezad Ahmed from Department of Political Science Delivered an extensive lecture on topic entitled ‘Human Rights: Changing perspective in Present Era’, while speaking on the topic, he elaborated that Human Rights are valuable and most important for the development of an individual personality. The human right cannot be realized without the protection of liberty. All individuals born with equal rights and they should have the right to live with dignity at all. These rights uphold the values and peace in the society. At the end Prof. Sham Lal presented vote of thanks to Principal, Hod Political Science, Speaker and all participants for making this event successful. |
