| Dogra Degree College organizes poster making competition | | |

JAMMU, Dec 10: Arts Department in collaboration with NSS unit of Dogra Degree College, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, Jammu organized a poster making competition on the theme Equality-Reduction in Equality, Advancing Human Rights in the campus of the college today.
The event was organized to mark the Human Rights Day which is celebrated on the 10th of December every year Dogra Degree College organized inter department Poster Making Competition under the supervision of Shikha Gupta lecturer in Economics and Balwant Singh, NSS Programme Officer and lecturer in Sociology Dogra Degree College. Twelve volunteers from BBA, B.A & B.COM Department participated in the event.
The participants made quality posters expressing their perception on the importance of Human Rights. The judges had a tough time deciding the winners. After scrutiny the result declared were as under. In Poster Making Competition the First Prize was bagged by Taniya BA 1 Sem, 2nd Prize winner was Geetanjali of BBA 5th Semester & 3rd Prize went to Bhavya Abrol B.Com 1 Sem and certificates were also given to all the participants.
The main motive behind the celebration of this day was to encourage the students, who are the young blood and future of the nation, to know about the rights of equality. Bela Thakur, Principal Dogra Degree College and the faculty members appreciated the students and organizing committee for conducting the event. |
