Gujjar Bakarwal community remembers late Manzoor Hussain Gulshan on his 2nd death anniversary

DODA, Dec 15: The Gujjar and Bakarwal community members today remembered Manzoor Hussain Gulshan, the ex-warden of Gujjar and Bakarwal Hostel Doda and a great scholar and educationist on his second death anniversary.
The homage paying function was particularly arranged by the students of late Manzoor Hussain Gulshan and his well-wishers to remember his social, educational, literary and the extraordinary efforts he made for the uplift and progress of the community of the erstwhile District Doda.
Late Manzoor Hussain Gulshan tirelessly worked in Doda between 1986 to 1998 and guided hundreds of community youth from darkness and paved the way for their progress in that span of twelve years, said Din Mohd Affaqi, a Jammu Kashmir Administrative Services officer and a student of the late teacher and scholar. He is the real hero and icon for the Gujjar community of the erstwhile District Doda, said John Mohammad Hakeem, another disciple of the Late Scholar.
Many writers, poets and scholars, mostly former students of the late teacher, read out papers on the works done by him which they described as the golden period.
The poets also recited their poetry in the praise of the great scholar. The speakers threw light on the different dimensions of his personality. They said that had he not been in the Hostel, the community would have not been so educated as many of his students are on higher posts and others are employed in different Departments. It was decided to organise this function every year on this day.
The programme was presided over by Dr Imtiyaz, while renowned writer of Doda Mushtaq Faridi was the Chief Guest.
Others who read out the papers and participated were Ch Din Mohammad Affaqi, Ch Shabir Ahmed, Khakan Sajad, Khuda Bakash Khayali, Mohammad Hanief Kohli, Qayoom Betaab, Master Noor Mohammad, Abdal Karim Gorsi, SI Shakeel Ahmed, Fareed Shaheen, Ali Hussain kandal, Mohammad Hussain Chaichi, Noor Mohd JE, Mohd Shafi Surazi, Rafiq Masroof, Bagh Hussain Shabnam,Talib Hussain vlw, Mohd Issa vlw, molvi Noor Hussain, Master Mir Qasim, Ali Mohammad Mehtab, master Sakander, Mohd Yaseen and others. The people of community from chhatroo to Bhaderwah and Bharth Doda participated.
Ch John Mohammad Hakeem acted as stage Secretary Ch Din Mohd Affaqi among other guests gave away the Gulshan Achievement Award to the meritorious students of the District. The organizers announced that the award presentation to meritorious students will be made as an yearly feature. The Anjaman e Tarraqi Gojri Adab Doda extended the cooperation in holding the function.
